As more
teachers develop teaching resources for using MidiPads in the classroom this
page will allow for the sharing of ideas and resources.
One idea is to
use the MidiPads as a musical instrument. The music which plays on first
starting the MidiPads software is a major scale of C. This is a very commonly
used scale which can be used to perform melodies.
A useful way of notating
the melody is by graphic notation. As the pads are colour coded a simple table
can be made in Microsoft Word for example and by using the drawing facilities in
Word the notation can be produced.

At the bottom of each Word document there are 8 coloured rectangles which
can be copied and pasted into a blank table to create your own melodies.
